In both products, α-acids have been removed to explicitly enhance aroma with little to no added bitterness. Salvo® is best used as a late kettle/whirlpool addition to partially or completely replace leaf or pellet hops. SalvoPlus® can be added at any time during the brewing process, so also for dry hopping.

Can I use SalvoPlus in any stage of the brewing process?
Yes, SalvoPlus is designed to be used at any point of the brewing process, for an application in the whirlpool or in dry hopping at an early phase of fermentation.
What makes SalvoPlus different from traditional hops?

How much beer do I save if SalvoPlus is used instead of pellets?
This strongly depends on the hopping recipe and the type of conventional hop product that refers to the comparison. In any case, there’s a significant improvement when it comes to cost efficient brewing that is state of the art. Besides reduced wort a/o beer losses, also shipping costs and storage volume are dramatically reduced. Waste material from the addition of hop pellets or leaf hops does not occur anymore, if SalvoPlus is used exclusively. In addition to that, cleaning is far easier and much more cost effective.
Can I use SalvoPlus in non-alcoholic beers?
Absolutely, SalvoPlus can be used in a variety of beverages, including non-alcoholic beers to achieve a hoppy flavor. The ideal application depends on the de-alcoholization technique applied. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to find the best solution for your NAB.
Does the hop creep effect occur with SalvoPlus in dry hopping?

There is no risk for hop creep and consequently no alcohol to be formed after dosing SalvoPlus as this product does neither contain carbohydrates nor active enzymes derived from hops.

The correct dosage depends on several factors, including the desired flavor profile and the type of beer. We provide information of linalool-based dosage for whirlpool applications and oil-based information for dry hopping as a starting point. Experimentation in small batches, especially with dry hopping, is recommended to determine the ideal flavor for your specific beer.

What is the best way to store SalvoPlus?

To preserve the quality and freshness of SalvoPlus, we recommend storing it in a cool place. After opening, the product should be used up within 4 weeks to achieve the best results. Freezing must be avoided in any case!
